Abstract
Epidermoid cyst is a developmental cyst filled with keratinous material and lined by stratified squamous epithelium similar to the skin. They usually present cutaneously in the back and neck. Their etiology is unknown and has been linked directly to trauma. We report a similarly rare occurrence of an epidermoid cyst in the finger of a 25-year-old male. We report an unusual presentation of an epidermoid inclusion cyst of the fourth finger in a 25-year-old man. The patient was misdiagnosed as a lipoma of the finger initially. The patient was successfully treated by excision and biopsy after preliminary radiographs. Epidermoid inclusion cyst of the finger is rare. This condition presents a diagnostic challenge due to the absence of consistent symptoms and triggering factors. The recurrence rate of these lesions is low.

Key words: Epidermoid inclusion cyst, finger, lipoma, multinucleate giant cells
